Red Hat Enterprise Performance Tuning with exam – RH443 consists of Red Hat Enterprise Performance Tuning – RH442 training and Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Performance Tuning exam – EX442. Given that contains two components, this package offers a more favourable invested – obtained ratio.
Red Hat Enterprise Performance Tuning – RH442 teaches senior Linux system administrators about performance tuning and capacity planning for Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
Red Hat Enterprise Performance Tuning is one of emerging technology courses. This series of courses focuses on Red Hat’s evolving technologies. Emerging technology courses are feature-and functionality-focused and are conducted like guided labs.
Course overview
This course discusses system architecture with emphasis on understanding the implications on system performance, methods for testing the effects of performance adjustments, open source benchmarking utilities, methods for analyzing system and networking performance and tuning configurations for specific application loads.
RH442 will prepare you for the Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Performance Tuning exam – EX442. After passing EX442 you will become Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Performance Tuning. This certification is part of the Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) path and EX442 can be recognized as one of the five required exams.
Course content summary
- Tuning for use-case scenarios (for example, HPC, large memory, database and file server)
- Applying tuning profiles with tuned
- Tuning virtual machines (primarily guest, but host is discussed)
- Tuning memory and caches
- Tuning CPU and memory utilization using cgroups (integrated in systemd)
- Gathering performance metrics and other data for tuning purposes
Audience
Senior Linux system administrators responsible for maximizing resource utilization through performance tuning. Red Hat Certified Engineers (RHCE) on their Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) path.
Prerequisites
You do not have to be, but we recommend to you the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certificate, but surely you must have equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
