This summer, almost 40 students from around the world chose Algebra’s summer school program as their virtual study destination.

Students with different academic backgrounds – programmers, engineers, future marketing and communications experts, budding fashion designers… – all decided to take the plunge and spent 3 weeks sharpening their digital skills at Algebra.

This summer, students enrolled in our innovative virtual courses in Digital Marketing, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security and Data-Driven Storytelling, under the expert guidance of Algebra’s lecturers Vanja Šebek, Boris Agatić, Robert Petrunić and Zdravko Kunić.

Once again, international students who participated in the Croatian Language and Culture course learned important historical facts and fun bits about our culture, as well as some basic Croatian words and phrases. We are sure that our teacher Petra has made another generation of Summer School alumni fall madly in love with all things Croatian!

Apart from their regular course program, our students participated in virtual company visits to some of the biggest names in Croatia’s booming IT business world. Our guest experts told us all the ins and outs of their latest projects and campaigns, their business culture and teamwork values, as well as the many international opportunities available for international students in Croatia!

Under the tag #DistantlyTogether our virtual summer school experience may have been distant, but we never let that human touch get away! This were 3 summery weeks of friendship and learning and they were truly great.

We would like to thank all students for choosing Algebra as their virtual summer destination and we hope to see them in person too. Let’s create a digital future together while exploring the beauties of Croatian culture, language and, of course – the Croatian cuisine.
