After two years online, it was really great to have students back on Algebra’s campus for our fifth annual International Winter School programme!

Over the 4 weeks, there were more than 40 students attending the International Winter School course in Wireless Communication Networks. All of them worked hard and aced their course work, becoming confident and skilled in the wireless domain, earning 6 ECTS points and the official certificate from Algebra University College that will surely be a great asset in their CVs.

Apart from classes and company visits, our students also got to experience the best of Zagreb and Croatia. There were plenty of events and activities to attend, some lifelong memories to acquire, new friendships to form with Algebra Buddies and great nature to discover!

Together we visited the five-centuries old silver mine hidden at the snowy peak of Medvednica mountain above Zagreb and visited nearby Medvedgrad Castle. It was also great to feel the winter magic at Plitvice Lakes, Croatia’s most famous National Park. There we took a boat ride on the frozen lake and organized an impromptu snowball fight underneath the great waterfall. With such an exciting schedule, our 4 weeks together seems to have flown by!

The success of the International Winter School programme was made possible thanks to our team of expert lecturers Alberto Teković, Nikola Šira and Zvonimir Zelenika, whose dedication and top-quality approach to teaching inspired students to achieve their best.

All the best of luck in their further studies to all of our Winter School students and lest we forget – this is not goodbye but au revoir until next time!
