ABOUT:
Greg Fisher is an Associate Professor at Department of Management & Entrepreneurship and holds Larry and Barbara Sharp Professorship in Entrepreneurship at Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. He was also John and Donna Shoemaker Faculty Fellow in Entrepreneurship.
He became (2012) Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from University of Washington, Michael G. Foster School of Business, Technology Entrepreneurship Program, Management & Organization Department, with focus on Identity and Resource Acquisition in New Ventures. He has acquired (2004) a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) from University of Pretoria, Gordon Institute of Business Science (South Africa), where he Graduated Cum Laude and awarded as a Top Graduate in the Class. Before that, he has got (2001) a BA of Commerce Honors in Human Resource Development. He also lectured Entrepreneurship at Gordon Institute of Business Science, University of Pretoria, in 2005-2007.
In business, Greg is a Founder & CEO of LearningLab, and was in a Manager and Senior Manager of Group Human Resources and Development at Deloitte, Southern Africa. He has started his business career (2000) as a Chartered Accountant from South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (South Africa).
Greg Fischer is member of the Academy of Management (Entrepreneurship Division, Organization and
Management Theory Division). He was a Feature author and regular Contributor to the Entrepreneur Magazine, South Africa. He has co-authored books and published numerous articles, papers and research in Entrepreneurship and Strategy. Most recently, he has been awarded (2018) with Eyster Teaching Award at the Kelley School of Business, with Indiana University Trustees Teaching Award (2017) and named among the “Favorite Business School Professor Teaching MBAs” by Poets and Quants website (2016).
