I have always been inclined to explore and learn new things. Of course, all this has its price; high goals also mean lack of time. Aware of this, I promised myself that, as long as I have the will and motivation, I will invest in my knowledge. I believe that knowledge is power and the foundation of every success.

The period of the pandemic turned our work into a bit of a routine, and I believe that this is also why I increasingly felt the desire for new challenges and knowledge. I considered various options, from PhDs to online courses, seminars and other combinations. In that search, I came across an online ad about Algebra’s scholarship competition for MBA studies. Realistically, I didn’t hesitate for a second, I signed up and waited for further guidance. From the first conversation with Arsen, to whom I hereby thank for opening the door to this journey for me, to solving the case study and invitation to the competition, everything was organized at a very high, professional level.

I am aware of my skills and I believe in myself, but I was still surprised and delighted when I realized that I was one of the participants in the scholarship competition. Wow! I found myself in the company of all these so different and yet so similar people. However, my emotions subsided, I responded to the invitation and met wonderful people with whom I study today. And the most important thing, I won second place in the scholarship competition and I can proudly say that I am an Algebra scholar!

Certainly, even before the decision to study, I had doubts about financing my studies, free time, and since I live and work in Rijeka, there were also questions about accommodation and travel. I am sure, however, that all these challenges were just an additional incentive for me. I knew I had chosen the right path, because I became part of a story where every detail is taken care of with special care!

The very first MBA module exceeded all my expectations. After the workshop on game theory, I am sure that this MBA journey of 18 months will be very intense and inspiring. I also believe that by applying the very specific knowledge that I will acquire during my studies, I will lay the foundations for the changes that are yet to follow.

Doubts and reflections are good. Already in the first module, we learned how we all decide to take calculated risks in a sea of probabilities. Congratulations to all colleagues who decided to take this step. Considering the responsibilities we all have, this is an exceptional thing and I am glad to be part of such a positively motivated generation with whom the hours fly like seconds!

And finally, don’t hesitate – just go!
