The course aims

The start-up business project is a team assignment. The goal is to demonstrate student’s ability to work in a team to develop a plan for the real-life innovative and disruptive new business venture (start-up) in a context of digital economy. Mastering diverse professional business competencies and ability to use a significant number of different sources and arguments in support to the knowledge obtained will be required during the preparation of the project. In order to achieve this objective, it is essential that the student is able to demonstrate practical application of course material, methods and frameworks adopted during the first two semesters of the study program and prove him/herself as a valuable team member and contributor.

  • Self-assess clarity of the presentation of the plan, its structure and integrity.
  • Review competitive advantage of the idea presented in the business plan in relation to existing products and services on the market.
  • Evaluate impact of the idea on local community, wider social community and/or environmental protection.
  • Argue opinions on key parts of the plan/study and review its structure and integrity.
  • Evaluate the overall presentation of key parts of the project presented.
