Kim Milford is the Executive Director of the Research and Education Networking Information Sharing and Analysis Center (REN-ISAC) at Indiana University.
She earned a BS in Accounting from Saint Louis University, and a JD from Chicago’s John Marshall Law School. Milford joined Indiana University in June 2007 as a Special Assistant to the Vice President for Information Technology. She was promoted to Director for IT Communication and Media Technology in November 2010, and later became the Chief Policy Officer for Public Safety and Institutional Assurance. Before joining Indiana University, Kim has worked with Helene Curtis Inc as IT Project Manager, at University of Wisconsin as Information Security Manager and at University of Rochester as the Information Security Officer and Director of Information Security.
Kim Milford now leads the Research and Education Networking Information Sharing and Analysis Center (REN-ISAC), working to improve cyber-security for higher education institutions and research networks. Through information collection, analysis and dissemination, early warning, and response, the REN-ISAC supports the needs of organizations connected to serve higher education and research networks. It also supports efforts to protect the national cyber infrastructure by participating in the formal US Information Sharing and Analysis Center structure.
