Susan Strack Vargo was a Senior Lecturer by the Department of Communication, Professional and Computer Skills at Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.
She has earned the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree at Indiana University in 1994. Before, she has acquired a Master of Arts (M.A.) and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication, from the Department of Communication at University of Dayton (OH).
Sue has started her academic career in 1976 as an instructor at University of Dayton, and in the meantime developed and exercised curriculums in Business and Professional Communication, Fundamentals of Public Speaking, Public Affairs, Listening Dynamics in Business, Business Presentations, and others. In addition to Indiana and Dayton universities, she had opportunities to teach at Wright State University (1979), Purdue University at Fort Wayne (1982-1988), and through the Global MBA program at Sungkyunkwan University (2012-2016) in South Korea.
Besides lecturing, Sue had an extensive exposure at many different national conventions, colloquia and invited lectures on varied communication topics, and served in academic, administrative and mentoring roles. Throughout the career, her contributions were recognized with multiple Teaching Excellence Recognition Awards.
Sue is an active contributor to the US Association for Business Communication.
