The course aims

Introduce students to the role of information systems as key sources of competitive advantages in the operation of modern businesses. Students will acquire knowledge of IS/IT as the driving force of radical transformation of enterprises with a strong positive impact on the raise of competitiveness. They will adopt basic concepts of existing and emerging IT technologies. They will understand the impact of IS/IT roles on the operational performance of the company and acquire basic knowledge about challenges and solutions for problems associated with successful implementation of IS/IT in enterprises. They will know that successful integration of IS/IT in company’s business system is one of the crucially important skills of e-leadership and business management. They will adopt trends related to implementation of advanced technologies as part of modern IT systems.

  • Utvrditi temeljne odnose između poslovnog i informacijskog sustava.
  • Valorizirati utjecaj IT/IS na organizaciju, pojedince unutar organizacije i poslovne procese.
  • Izabrati i kritički prosuditi modele i okvire koji se koriste pri analizi utjecaja IS/IT na organizacijska pitanja i strategiju.
  • Utvrditi povezanost IT/IS s organizacijskim strategijama, taktikama i operativnim pristupima pri upravljanju IT resursima.
  • Ocijeniti i kritički interpretirati okvire najboljih praksi na području upravljanja IT/IS.

  • Ocijeniti i kritički interpretirati odnos između poslovnog i informacijskog sustava na strateškoj, taktičkoj i operativnoj razini.
  • Ocijeniti i kritički interpretirati konkurentnost organizacije pomoću primjene znanja i vještina integracije informacijskog i poslovnog sustava.
  • Komunicirati ulogu i utjecaj informacijskih sustava i novih tehnologija na organizacijska pitanja i strategiju, koristeći odgovarajuće modele i okvire.
  • Valorizirati organizacijsku strategiju, taktiku i operativne pristupe pri upravljanju IT resursima.
  • Preporučiti najbolje prakse s područja upravljanja IT/IS, uključujući financiranje, organiziranje i eksternalizaciju IS.
