From 18 to 22 March 2024 Algebra University hosted its highly anticipated International Week, a dynamic series of events aimed at fostering global collaboration, cultural exchange, and academic excellence. Below is an overview of the program of the 8th International Week at Algebra University.

Welcome 2 Algebra Monday

The annual event commenced with Welcome 2 Algebra Monday, where the International Office staff made a comprehensive introduction about Algebra University to representatives of partner institutions, describing its resources, support services, and finally taking the participants on a guided campus tour.

Algebra & EURASHE QA CoP Wider Group Joint Event: FLEXIBLE QA FOSTERING TRANSNATIONAL INTERINSTITUTIONAL COOPERATION

Tuesday’s highlight was the joint event with EURASHE QA CoP Wider Group, centered around the theme Flexible QA Fostering Transnational Interinstitutional Cooperation. The participants questioned the concept of flexibility in the context of transnational recognition of study periods abroad and cross-border quality assurance supporting large-scale mobilities.

International Experience Wednesday

Midweek, representatives from partner institutions convened for a workshop focused on mobility and flexibility in recognizing learning outcomes. This interactive session provided a platform for discussing best practices, addressing challenges, and brainstorming solutions.

Explore Croatia Thursday

Meanwhile, representatives of partner institutions indulged in a rich cultural program, immersing themselves in the sights and sounds of Zagreb during the Festival of Lights and went on a field trip to the oldest and largest national park in Croatia, Plitvice Lakes National Park.

International Friday

Friday marked the pinnacle of the International Week, featuring a lineup of panel discussions and promotional activities. The day began with the student panel titled How to Benefit from International Experience, where students shared their international experiences firsthand, offering invaluable insights on the benefits of studying abroad.

Subsequently, the representatives of partner universities showcased their programs and opportunities through engaging panel discussions, where attendees had a chance to learn about exciting study-abroad opportunities offered during their studies at Algebra.

The culmination of the event was the International Fair: partner universities set up vibrant stands where they exhibited promotional materials, thus offering students a glimpse into diverse educational opportunities. During the fair, the students also had a chance to make connections with the representatives.
