The Senate is an expert body composed in a manner that ensures a balanced representation of various fields of science and arts in which the University operates, as well as individual scientific-teaching constituent units of the University.
It consists of members according to the functions they hold at the University – the rector, vice-rectors, the secretary general, heads of university departments, heads of academic units, managers of organisational units operating within the University, student representatives, representatives of learners or the alumni community in adult education.
Student representatives, elected by students, constitute 10% of the Senate members.
The term of office of the Senate members lasts until the termination of the function they hold at the University.
