Enrollment procedure

All applicants, regardless of the entry route, must take the entrance exam and create and submit the art portfolio as a prerequisite for enrolment. The entrance exam is taken within 120 minutes and examines artistry, drawing and visual communication. The art portfolio, as a prerequisite for entering the enrolment process, consists of a total of 10 works, of which 6 works on the topic of choice (mandatory three works in the field of fine arts (drawings) and three works in the field of design, applied or film arts) and 4 specific works according to the instructions that applicants will receive from the Admission Office of the Algebra University Collage (works in the field of art and design). The art portfolio needs to be submitted in digital form with photographed and processed drawings and other materials within the designed 4k format (3840×2160 pixels and a resolution of 72 dpi) according to the rule of one paper – one page.

  • C) Completed an education programme lasting less than three years which is recognised by the Ministry of Education as equivalent to a 3-year professional bachelors degree programme in the field of technical, natural or social sciences

Exceptionally, applicants may also be considered who have previously completed an undergraduate or graduate study programme to the requirements set out above but outside of the relevant field of study. Such applicants will be required to complete the appropriate preparatory study program or fulfil certain additional requirements during their studies.

Admission by transfer from other studies

Transfer of credits accumulated at another professional or university study programme is conducted in accordance with the Law and the Statute of the Algebra University. The tuition can be reduced in proportion to the number of recognized ECTS points for modules already completed.

Also, applicants who have not completed a professional undergraduate or university undergraduate study programme in the field of technical sciences and subfield of computer science or in the field of social sciences and the subfield of informatics may be required to complete the appropriate preparatory programme. The obligation and content of the preparatory programme are determined by reviewing the applicant’s documents. Within the preparatory programme, areas of knowledge and skills are defined, i.e. mandatory learning outcomes that must be acquired. Applicants who will be required to complete the preparatory programme must do so before enrolling in the study programme.
