At the EURASHE General Assembly held on May 13 in Portalegre, Portugal, new members of the Board were elected. The representative of Algebra Bernays University, Vice-Rector for Quality, Dr. Ana Tecilazić, is among them – thereby strengthening the university’s role in shaping European policies, especially in the area of professional higher education and applied sciences.
Dr. Tecilazić has actively contributed to the work of EURASHE for many years, particularly in the area of quality assurance and learning and teaching. As the co-leader of EURASHE’s Community of Practice for Quality Assurance and its representative in the Bologna Follow-up Group structures (BFUG WG on Learning & Teaching and BFUG Thematic Peer Group on Quality Assurance – TPG C), our representative has made a significant contribution to improving the quality, equity, and flexibility of higher education.
This collaboration was recently further strengthened through a joint project in which Algebra Bernays University participates as a consortium partner alongside three key European organisations: EURASHE, EUA (European University Association), and ESU (European Students’ Union) – initiatives aimed at promoting student-centered learning and lifelong learning.
As a reminder, EURASHE (European Association of Institutions in Higher Education) brings together 84 members, including individual higher education institutions and national associations such as the Council of Polytechnics in Croatia, and represents more than 600 higher education institutions across Europe. Its primary focus are the institutions that offer professional studies, applied sciences, and knowledge valorisation through its application in the economy and society.
