EU Mental Health Awareness Week by organising a series of activities for students and staff. The aim of this initiative is to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and to encourage community spirit, support, and personal development.

Throughout the week, the following activities will be held:

  • Fresh fruit will be available daily on the canteen tables for students and staff, symbolising care for both physical and mental wellbeing.
  • In the Lobby, you will find Info Stands:
    • A book exchange corner focused on mental health and self-help. Visitors are welcome to leave a book and take another – either to borrow or keep. All participants in this activity will also receive a small, thoughtful gift.
    • PassSport information and gifts, highlighting the connection between physical activity and good mental health – in this sense, sport not only strengthens the body, but also the mind, helping to reduce stress, anxiety and depression, and contributing to overall wellbeing.
  • 19 May 2025, 2 – 3 PM, Steve Jobs, Awareness-Raising Workshop on Street Harassment
    An educational session on raising awareness about street harassment and teaching people how to respond safely when they experience or witness it.

  • Walk to Jarun and picnic – 20t May 2025 at 10:30 AM
    Meeting point is the campus lobby, after which all participants will head out for a group walk to Jarun. Each participant will receive a refreshment backpack.
    At Jarun, a picnic will be held alongside the activity „Tell Me a Your Story“ – an open session for sharing personal experiences and insights related to mental health.

  • Workshops for students in A9 Marko Marulić Hall:
  • All students of Algebra Bernays University have daily access to the Student Counseling Service – Sveučilište Algebra Bernays, whose role is to strengthen and support students’ mental health and assist them in dealing with life challenges, under the supervision and guidance of counseling therapists.
