Procedure for the selection, revision and defense of final/gradution thesis:
- During the third year of undergraduate studies or the second year of graduate studies, the student selects three mentors to whom he will send one or more topics for final thesis
- It is recommended that the student, before choosing a mentor through Inofeduka, contact the teacher to check the availability for mentoring
- The topic proposal needs to be elaborated as much as possible to make it easier for the mentor to talk about your topic
- The student registers mentors and topics through the Infoeduka system by defining who is their first, second and third choice for mentor
- The mentor confirms or does not confirm the mentorship
- If none of the selected mentors confirms mentorship, the Final and Graduation Theses Committee will assign a mentor to the student
- Once the mentor and topic have been confirmed, it is necessary to fill out the Final thesis application form
- The topic should be described in detail and it should be clear from the description that the topic corresponds to the level of study and that it reflects the professional character of the study with an orientation towards the development of a specific practical task
- The Final thesis application form should be filled out by the student and, if necessary, corrected in accordance with the mentor’s instructions
- Exclusively mentor can send the completed form, by e-mail to the Final ang Graduation thesis committee at least 3 months before the planned date of application for the defense of the final/graduation thesis
- The Committee shall consider and approve the proposed thesis subjects at the sessions of the appropriate field committee, which are organized once. The mentor and the student, whose topic proposals are being discussed, are invited to the field committee sessions. In case the mentor does not come to the session, the committee is allowed to not discuss the proposed topic or postpone the discussion of the proposed topic to the next session. The field committee may confirm the proposed topic, request necessary amendments to the proposed topic or reject the proposed topic. In the case of a topic rejection, the student and the selected mentor should propose another topic, in accordance with the remarks and recommendation made by the field committee. The completed Final thesis application form is archived in the final or graduation theses digital archive.
- The student shall be obliged to adhere to the topic approved by the Committee, accepting and respecting all remarks and suggestions received from the Committee. The student is obliged to accept the comments of the mentor or co-mentor during the preparation of the thesis and to perform the required modifications.
- The student shall send the completed thesis with all attachments to the mentor in a digital form. The completed written part of the thesis needs to be delivered in Word format. After the mentor assesses that the delivered thesis is satisfactory in terms of its quality and scope, the mentor sends the thesis to the Coordinator. The thesis should be submitted to the Coordinator no later than 45 days before the desired deadline for the registration of the thesis defence. The coordinator determines whether the thesis meets all technical requirements. If the thesis does not meet all technical requirements, it is returned for revision to the mentor and the student. A thesis that meets all technical requirement must be checked with plagiarism checker software and together with a plagiarism checker software report is delivered to the Examination Panel.
- The Examination Committee determines whether the thesis corresponds to the approved form, whether there are parts of the work that threaten the originality of the work (based on the similarity of the work and other sources/papers) and assesses the quality and scope of the work. The examination committee submits comments on the work that the student needs to implement. The corrected work should be proofread. The mentor submits the final version of the thesis with a proofreading certificate to the Coordinator for Final and Graduation thesis.
- If the Examination Committee determines that the work is not at a satisfactory level, the student is directed to revise the entire thesis and resubmit it to the mentor and the Panel.
