Vladimir Šimović, full professor, Ph.D., was born in Požega, after graduating, he received his master's degree in Varaždin from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb, and in 2000 he received his doctorate from the same university, information and communication sciences, social sciences. He is a certified leader in the development and implementation of EU-funded projects. He speaks four foreign languages. He is a member of the Croatian Society for Operational Research, the Croatian Professional Association of Experts and Forensic Experts, the Croatian Matica, the Asia Pacific CEO Association - Worldwide, and their senior expert advisor in China. He is a Fellow and Honorary Doctor and Visiting Professor at the International Institute for Advanced Studies in Systematic Research and Cybernetics, Canada. He was for many years the head of the European Center for Advanced and Systematic Research in Zagreb. He has been a full professor in the Republic of Croatia since 2014 and has a valid and equivalent professorship in several other countries. His teaching and research work is realized in various fields of science and higher education, especially in the field of information and communication and computer sciences, organization, management and technology in education, application of advanced scientific and research methodologies and techniques, and operational research and project management. In these areas, he is the author or editor of more than twenty books and educational materials and over one hundred and fifty scientific papers published in journals or proceedings of international scientific conferences. He has led or been a researcher in more than ten scientific research projects, four of which were exclusively international and the rest national. He has led or has been a major collaborator in several notable professional and professional, international, and national projects. During his academic career, he also performs a number of strategic functions, such as head of the department and university department, dean of the faculty, vice-rector, and rector.
