Algebra Bernays University was awarded an Erasmus+ project under the Call: ERASMUS-EDU-2024-EHEA-NARIC, in partnership with the European Association for the Applied Sciences in Higher Education (EURASHE), the European University Association (EUA) and the European Students´ Union (ESU).
Anchored in recent Bologna Process commitments of the Rome (2020) and Tirana (2024) Communiqués, the project titled Bologna Process for Learning and Teaching (BP4LnT) places student-centred learning and lifelong learning at the forefront of its mission by setting out to explore the implementation of student-centred learning and lifelong learning across the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), which, despite being widely endorsed, seem to remain inconsistent and often conceptually fragmented.
The BP4LnT project aims to examine current policies and practices regarding student-centred learning and lifelong learning and to promote an informed dialogue between national authorities, higher education institutions and students. A central feature of the project will be the creation of playbooks with evidence-based recommendations to guide institutions in adopting and promoting student-centred learning and lifelong learning which are pivotal for fostering inclusive, flexible and innovative education systems.
What sets the BP4LnT project apart is its effort to bridge discussions at the institutional and the policy level, using partners’ existing structures, such as the EUA’s Learning & Teaching Forum, the EURASHE Annual Conference and ESU events, and to amplify the voices of students and higher education institutions in shaping future policy for learning and teaching. By fostering collaboration, BP4LnT will help the EHEA to achieve its strategic objectives, including improving the quality, equity and flexibility of higher education.
