Combines the advantages of online studies with the experience of in-person learning. In addition to online content, students occasionally take part in lectures, workshops and discussions on campus, further enriching the learning process and strengthening interaction with other students and teachers.

The hybrid learning model is based on four key components, providing students with comprehensive and interactive educational experience:

Live online consultations
  • Up to 8 hours per course
  • Delivered via MS Teams (live + recorded)
  • Held on weekdays from 17:00 to 22:00
  • Active participation encouraged

Consultations are held twice a week (e.g. Monday + Wednesday). Students can participate by asking questions and joining virtual group work. To receive course credit and exam eligibility, students must attend at least 75% of the available live online consultations.

Live online exercises
  • Up to 10 hours per course
  • Focus on practical applications
  • Delivered via MS Teams + recordings
  • Minimum attendance: 40% (online or on campus)

Held twice a week according to a set schedule. Exercises enable collaborative work and discussion. To receive course credit, students must attend at least 40% of all available exercises (online or in person).

On-campus exercises
  • Held on campus every Friday and Saturday
  • Up to 10 hours per course
  • Direct interaction with instructors
  • Not recorded (live stream available, but does not count as attendance)

Exercises are conducted in person: Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings until 15:20, with a lunch break. Live streaming does not count as attendance. A minimum attendance of 40% is required, just as with online exercises.

Independent online activities
  • Video lectures, presentations, quizzes, assignments
  • Full flexibility
  • Weekly assignments are due every Sunday by 23:59

These activities prepare students for active participation in consultations and exercises. Students earn points through weekly tasks.

Important

Each week, by Sunday at 23:59, students must complete all materials and assignments scheduled for that week. This ensures solid preparation and allows them to collect points through continuous assessment.

Evaluation

All knowledge tests (exams, projects, assignments, etc.) in online studies are conducted online, that is, they are taken from home.

  • The implementation of online exams is organized through two systems currently used at Algebra Bernays University:
    • MS Teams
    • Exam.net
  • MS Teams is used as a channel for identification and exam supervision by the proctor.
  • Exam.net is used to distribute and take exams. Exams are distributed through this platform using an exam code, which is provided to students immediately before the exam begins.
  • Exams are written at pre-arranged times that are visible in the personalized student schedule.
  • To take the exam, students need a computer with a camera and microphone and a mobile phone with a camera and microphone.
