In the 2024/2025 academic year, our students competed for the first time under the unified name Algebra Bernays University in national academic competitions organized within the UniSport system. From the very beginning, they demonstrated that teamwork, dedication, and perseverance lead to success – we built a strong sports community and achieved outstanding results. Our sports journey has only just begun, and we are already reaching the top.
In every sport we participated in, we left a recognizable mark. The name Algebra Bernays University quickly became synonymous with quality, unity, and victory.
We became champions in the two most competitive team sports – futsal and volleyball – and continue to win medals in individual disciplines, proving the excellence of our athletes across the board.
Our futsal team, led by coach Matija Đulvat, secured the student league championship title for the fifth year in a row. The team has also made its mark on the European stage as current vice-champions of Europe.
Our volleyball team, coached by Petra Biti, once again proved its strength by winning the student league title for the third time.
The individual quality of our teams is reflected in the awards earned by our players. Leonarda Grabić, a player for HAOK Mladost, was named Best Volleyball Player, while Filip Novak, player for MNK Futsal Dinamo, was named both Top Scorer and Best Player of the futsal league.
In individual sports, our student Tena Šusterić stood out once again by winning a silver medal in taekwondo at the national finals – her second consecutive year on the podium, a true testament to her skill and consistency.
In football, we reached the quarterfinals despite fierce competition. This year, we also made our debut in handball, marking the beginning of a new chapter for team sports at Algebra Bernays University. In Rocket League Esports, our team reached the semifinals, and we now proudly compete in disciplines such as chess and padel.
We congratulate all our students, athletes, and coaches on their exceptional achievements and exemplary sportsmanship. Thank you for wearing the colors of Algebra Bernays University with pride – both on and off the field.
