Module title:

Computer networks supporting business

Lecturers and associates:

Silvio Papić, Senior Lecturer

Module overview:

The objectives of this module are to equip students with the knowledge, understadning and skills to implement various networking technologies to build a scalable, secure, and highly available computer network that is resilient to negative influences.

Studnets learn to:
• Recognize key technologies and define their interdependence in the computer network
• Propose a technical solution for secure, scalable and highly available computer network
• Implement a technical solution to enable secure, scalable and highly available computer network
• Devise and perform tests to demonstrate security, scalability and high availability in computer network
• Recognize importance of IT security education in organisations

This module is important because it enables students to learn the hard technical skills of technologies and how to implement these and test these technologies in combination with soft skills like comparison of available technologies and making cost-benefit based decisions to implement a complete functional technical solution for secure, scalable and highly available computer network.
