Advanced administration of operating systems


Module overview:


The objective of this module is to enable students to:
• expand the knowledge of administration of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems in more complex environments
• expand on knowledge of managing additional services in environments based on Microsoft Windows Server operating system

This module furthers students practical knowledge and understanding of the administration of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems. The aim of this module is for students to learn how to use new services for storage and network capabilities to create a resilient, highly available environment, as well as processes of upgrade from old to new version of Microsoft Windows Server.

It is essential for students to take this module as it will enable them to get much more insight into administration of Microsoft Windows Server, which is very important for their future job prospects as system engineers. It will also prepare them for some future modules related to cloud technologies as it's impossible to manage cloud-based environment without deep knowledge of hosted solutions.
