Module title:
Interactions design
Module overview:
This module provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to design interaction systems, use appropriate tools, and apply the ways of thinking required for designing interactive systems with modern user experience.
This module is core to subspecialisation in Design and provides the foundation for web design and application design modules that students will take in the following semesters. Skills brought by this module will contribute significantly to student’s development as professionals in respecting fields.
Students will learn:
• Interaction design foundations, which are necessary to build skills that are more complex and required in the labour market.
• How the interface influences the needs and the demands of users.
• How to build a prototype and the construction of interactions.
• How to test the prototype, observe and research the users, and user modelling.
The module assessment is based on individual student projects. In these projects, students must design and test interaction systems according to the given specification.
