Module title:

English language 1

Lecturers and associates:

Martina Stadnik, Lecturer

Module overview:

The objective of this module is to enable students to:
• use basic business terminology in conversations
• use simple grammar tenses and structures in business conversations

English is the only foreign language that students learn at Algebra University College. This module teaches students about the proper English terminology and grammar used in different situations. It prepares students for all other modules of this study programme that use English terminology and language skills, and also serves as a foundation for module ‘English language 2’ that students have in the second semester of the first year.

It is important for students to take this module in order to develop their English language skills, which are necessary in the field of visual communications design. English is a digital language and the knowledge students acquire in this module will contribute to the overall skillset for their future employment. This module will expose students to a particular experience when dealing with different situations, both in written and oral form.
