Module title:
Team work and conflict management
Module overview:
The objective of this module is to enable students to:
• analyse basic principles of managing successful teams
• master the basics of communication skills and managing conflicts among co-workers
This module teaches students the techniques of team management in relation to the type of the team and its purpose, as well as the method of adapting to new situations and circumstances. Through lectures and practical assignments, students learn the dynamics of functioning within a team and practice their application under real conditions. This module is taught in the first semester and provides students with tools to be used in all other modules that require teamwork.
It is important for students to take this module in order to learn how to be a functional part of a team and increase its productivity and efficiency. It encourages students to use various elements of teamwork, which assist in conflict resolution, and prepares them to take care of different issues that may arise, and maintain group productivity. This module will expose students to a particular experience that will contribute to the overall skillset for their future employment.
