Module title:
Introduction to video pre-production
Module overview:
The objective of this module is to introduce students to the organizational and production skills of a video project, as well as the tools used to create audio-video content. Also, this module consists of various tools that are applied in digital media in the initial phase of project production. The evaluation of the module is based on the analysis and critical review of the given examples during the exam, on group student projects and homework with an individual approach.
The module is taught through theoretical and practical teaching related to projects and realizations in other modules, and is based on learning through project development from idea to realization. The purpose of the module is to prepare students for other courses using techniques and principles of organizational and production skills.
Students will learn:
• basic concepts in the production of AV activities and digital media
• phases of project development and realization
• parts of the production team, functions, sectors, way of working and cooperation
• organization and coordination within team production
• types, analysis and method of application (reading) of written creative projects
• the way of creating and preparing projects from different types of literary templates, i.e. elaboration and other forms of creative ideas and texts into a financial and operational plan and other segments of production
• use tools for defining, organizing and realizing production in its financial and operational part
• apply organizational and operational skills
• legal and safety aspects of production
• hands on experience/ practical and field work
• upgrade acquired knowledge
