Module title:
Introduction to programming
Module overview:
As part of this module, students acquire knowledge in the field of programming concepts and tools, as well as ways of thinking necessary to solve simple programming problems.
This module is the basis for further programming modules that students attend throughout the semesters. Although the study of Multimedia contains a smaller number of modules in the field of programming, they still represent a key group of modules in which mostly frontend programming is taught with less emphasis on backend programming. Acquired skills significantly contribute to the professional development of students in related professional fields.
Students will learn:
• the basics of programming, which are necessary for the further development of more complex skills for the purpose of competitiveness on the labour market
• formulate simple algorithms and use variables, commands and containers for their implementation
• about functions, user-defined data types and working with text files
• use software development tools
• convert problem tasks into algorithms.
