Module title:

Creativity and creative writing

Lecturers and associates:

Irena Zrinščak, Senior Lecturer

Module overview:

The aim of this module is to enable students to:
• understand the factors that limit and influence their creative potential and expression
• apply various tools to improve their own creative potential and expression
• analyse works of art and interpret the analysis to improve their own critical thinking
• create their own story structure and creative concept with an understanding of the entire creative process and internal and external influencing factors.

Students will learn to understand their own creative potential and the external and internal factors that influence their creative expression.

One part of this module is closely related to creative expression in different forms of art, while the other part of the module is closely related to creative expression in multimedia. Students are encouraged to develop their own unbiased critical thinking and learn and practically apply various tools that help them strengthen their own creative potential, but also give more depth and quality to different forms of their creative expression.

This module contributes to the overall development of students as professionals and practitioners with a focus on "practicing creativity". Students are expected to be more aware of their creative potential - its limitations and possibilities. Students should understand the wide application of storytelling in communication channels and be able to use storytelling techniques.
