English for IT
Module overview:
The objective of this module is to enable students to learn:
• the use of correct professional terminology in business conversations
• the use of correct grammar in business conversations
English is the only foreign language that students learn at Algebra University College. This module teaches students the correct English terminology and grammar used in different business situations with an emphasis on the IT industry. This module prepares students for all other modules of this study program that use English terminology and language skills.
Students need to take this module to develop their English language skills, which are necessary in the IT industry. English is the main language of computer science and the knowledge students acquire in this module will contribute to the overall skillset for their future employment. This module will expose students to a particular experience when dealing with business situations in the IT industry, both in written and oral form.
