Lecturers and associates:

Jasmin Redžepagić, Lecturer

Module overview:

The aim of this module is to enable students to: • gain knowledge about configuration concepts before and after starting virtual computers in the cloud,
• gain knowledge about orchestration and automation of configuration before and after starting virtual computers in the cloud.
Students gain knowledge about different approaches to automating pre- and post-launch configuration in cloud technologies, such as cloud-init and cloudbase-init, PowerShell DSC, JSON-based configuration for Microsoft Azure Resource Manager. It is important for students to attend this module because knowledge of the execution of automated and orchestrated procedures and their understanding is highly sought after in today's labor market. It is important for students to gain experience working with these technologies because this knowledge will be useful to them in future modules where more complex topics of DevOps practices are dealt with.
