Module overview:


This course is focused on providing knowledge in the techniques and tools necessary for conducting forensic investigations of computer systems and digital media. The course covers aspects of identifying, collecting, analyzing, and reporting digital evidence, as well as legal aspects of digital forensics. Through theoretical lectures and practical exercises, students will learn how to use forensic tools and techniques to solve real cases of cybercrime.
In this module students will learn:
the basics of digital forensics and its applications.
techniques for identifying and collecting digital evidence.
methods for analysing digital evidence.
the use of specialized forensic tools and software.
writing forensic reports and presenting evidence.
legal aspects of digital forensics.
