Module overview:


This module provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to design websites, use appropriate tools, and apply the ways of thinking required for designing responsive web pages with modern user experience.

This module is core to subspecialisation in Design and provides the foundation for web design modules that students will take in the following semesters. Skills learnt in this module will contribute significantly to student’s development as professionals in respecting fields.

Students will learn:
• Web design foundations, which are necessary to build skills that are more complex and required in the labour market.
• Mastering composition and architecture of the building elements of a web page.
• Adapting the web page for different screen displays/devices.

The module assessment is based on individual student projects. In these projects, students must design responsive web pages as part of entire websites according to the given specification.
