Module title:
Backup and recovery of IT systems
Module overview:
The objectives of this module is to enable students to:
• acquire the knowledge about backup and replication technologies for physical and virtual infrastructure
• learn about backup and recovery plans and how to integrate them into an existing enterprise environment with co-dependent applications
Students learn backup and replication technologies, both on-site and off-site, by using cloud storage as a remote backup location and the different ways to backup applications and different operating systems (for example, Windows and Linux-based servers).
It is essential that students to take this module as it will enable them to learn about the role of backup and disaster recovery, as backup and disaster recovery are very important aspects of enterprise risk management.
