Module overview:


The aim of this course is to enable students to learn:
use correct professional terminology in business conversations
use correct grammar in business conversations.
English is the only foreign language that students learn at Algebra University. As part of this course, students learn the correct terminology and grammar of the English language for use in various business situations with an emphasis on the media. This course prepares students for attending other courses within this study program that use English terminology and expression skills in English.
It is important for students to attend this course to improve their English language skills, which are necessary in the media. English is the basic language of the media and the knowledge that students acquire by attending this course will contribute to the overall skills needed for their future employment. As part of this course, students gain experience in dealing with business situations within the media industry in written and oral form.
In this course students will learn:
- the language of the profession through the acquisition of terms and vocabulary of the media
- English grammar
- English spelling and other characteristic details of the program content
- processing and analysis of informative texts to develop reading, listening, writing and speaking skills in English.
