Module overview:


This course introduces students to the fundamentals of multimedia research, analysis, and critical thinking. Through the integration of theory, research, and practical work, the focus of this course is on critical thinking and problem-solving. Specifically, the course involves the analysis of relevant research in the field of multimedia through various examples of multimedia content designed for various purposes in different sectors. This analysis serves as a correlation with student projects in this study program.

The mentioned student project is based on individual work, encompassing research, writing reviews and analyses, presenting content and multimedia analysis, and, creatively, proposing solutions.

The goal is to familiarize students with the principles of multimedia and its role in different contexts, analyse the transfer of information through various media and channels, and recognize types of interactivity and narratives.
In this course students will learn:
creation and reinterpretation of information through media and media channels
multimedia theories, concepts, integration, expansion, and practices
multimedia components - understanding the basics, growth, and future changes
multimedia expectations - interaction and interactivity, expectations, and innovation
research dilemma - finding the right topic/problem
the importance of relevance, interest, educational value, originality, feasibility, and motivation
learning for research, conceptualization, methodologies, and data collection
paper writing - introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion.
