Module overview:
This course introduces students to the basics of video production and editing with the aim of conveying a message and a story through a flexible and focused workflow. Building upon previously acquired knowledge, the course further explores how editing transforms raw footage into the final media content.
The course is taught through the integration of theory, knowledge, and individual practical learning and problem-solving. Course assessment is based on the analysis and critical review of given examples during homework assignments, as well as practical assignments and individual student projects. The individual student project focuses on video editing within different genres and the final outcome. This course is part of the core media studies, actively guiding students through video editing and the finalization of media forms.
