Lecturers and associates:

Module overview:

The course is designed to prepare students for advancing their careers and achieving a high level of professional performance. Strong communication skills are an advantage in the job market, as the world is full of good engineers, marketing strategists, lawyers, and accountants, but there are not many good communicators. Except for specific exceptions related to a particular profession and role, communication skills are undoubtedly the most commonly mentioned set of skills that employers seek.

Furthermore, in an era where lifelong employment no longer exists, it is important to adapt to new rules, take initiative, and manage one´s own career to find new opportunities and build job security. Most challenges resulting from the newly established freedoms and flexibility in the global job market require quality communication skills, making them more important than ever. Therefore, improving communication and presentation skills is crucial for professional success and career management, regardless of the chosen profession or industry.
The course helps develop key communication and presentation skills that are utilized throughout an individual´s career. This is achieved through a combination of theory and application to provide a better understanding of communication and presentation principles. The focus is on gaining valuable insights into active listening, persuasion, negotiation, teamwork, and intercultural communication skills, while simultaneously adopting effective strategies for various types of communication challenges.
