Module title:
Event production
Lecturers and associates:
Module overview:
The course prepares students for a detailed analysis of the needs of events, whether physical, online, or hybrid. Through the analysis and argumentation of these needs, students are directed towards pre-production phases to plan and document the establishment of production and transmission. Depending on the medium, communication message, and type of event, pre-production plays a crucial role in ensuring an efficient production phase with flexibility for additions and on-the-spot changes. The type of event brings specific considerations, which the course considers as key factors during the planning in the pre-production phase.
Audio-video creation, visual, informational, and other digital content are integrated into a fluid production structure that supports all aspects of the event, along with the storyline, script, and notations related to all aspects of the event.
In this course students will learn:
analyse events
categorize events by type and activities
categorize events by mode and type of transmission
synthesize knowledge in the field of production
apply production knowledge to the legal aspects of event production
define pre-production steps
create a detailed production plan, storyline, and script
ensure flexibility in event production
provide space for changes and additions in event production
