Computer tools in visual communication

Module overview:


This module introduces students to computer tools used in visual communication in both respected fields, pixels, and graphics. The module begins with individual final work and finishes with integration within a layout.
This module is not core to Undergraduate Marketing, but it is follow up module to Visual Communication Design. The module serves as a practical module in the field of visual communication where practical implementation and integration is the key.

This module is taught through practical approach, examples and problem solving. The module assessment is based on practical exam comprised of a series of individual practical tasks, on creating an individual project and on individual homework. Individual student project is based on the designed layout solution with integration of graphics and photo manipulated images that are well integrated as a whole.
Students will learn:
basics of photography as a source of images and respected data formats,
the impact of data formats regarding photo manipulation,
photo manipulation and the integrity of visual communication today,
vector graphics and its variety of use,
communication value of a layout and integration of pixel and graphic elements.
