Module overview:
This module teaches students to analyse the technological processes of creating print media and determining the techniques of printing that are used today depending on the input parameters. They will be able to define input parameters of colors necessary for technological processing of the designed product and they will interpret various conditions depending on the materials used for creating the product taking into consideration the rules of the profession that need to be followed for the entire process, from design to final product, to be possible. The module forms the vital core of the program as it combines color usage with production processes. This module is theoretical-project-based and provides students with knowledge, tasks, and projects in the printing industry.
It is important for students to take this module in order to gain confidence in
basics of multicolor reproduction and the basic principles of printing on different printing techniques. In this part, they will learn how to define and prepare digital files for reproduction in various printing techniques. In the last part of the module students will learn about Categorization and types of paper and cardboard, what are paper formats, and how to define the production elements depending on processes with various kinds of binding.
In this module students will learn:
understand basics in colour psychology and the influence of colour on the experience
