Standards in internet technology application
Module overview:
sThis module introduces students to the fundamental standards in internet technology application using HTML and CSS with a focus on fundamentals supporting rich HTML pages with CSS interactions and multimedia support.
Students will learn about:
• Standards used in applying Internet and Web technology.
• HTML language, its basic elements, standards of writing tags, and attributes.
• Creating forms and new form use with elements defined in the specification of HTML5.
• Editing and positioning of HTML elements using CSS rules.
• Using CSS to build responsive web pages.
• Creating rich HTML pages using CSS animations, transitions, and multimedia.
The module is taught through the integration of theory, know-how, and individual practical learning and problem-solving. The module assessment is based on individual student projects and homework with an individual approach. The individual student project is based on an individual practical approach to the creation of a website with a minimum of six web pages applying learned techniques and methods.
This module is a part of the front-end core of the study, actively taking students through multimedia solution development, specifically focusing on Web technologies. Skills learned in this module will contribute significantly to other subsequent front-end core modules.
