Katarina Šiber Makar is Chief Digital Officer, Member of the Board in IN2 Group. She is responsible for new business and new technologies development, like Big Data and advanced analytics, Internet of Things, Digital platforms (e.g. e-Commerce), blockchain, etc. Katarina has over 14 years’ experience in leading diverse teams in EU and US multi-cultural and international surroundings, experience with different industries and organizations, including project, line and matrix based organization. She has great leadership and management track record with tangible results in improving companies’ efficiency, creating new company value and successful management of organization transformation. Katarina’s academic backgrounds: the graduate study at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb, postgraduate study – master’s degree in Finance, Information Management at the Faculty of Economical Sciences, University of Zagreb, Ph.D. in Social sciences, IT and Telecommunications, Faculty of humanities and social sciences, University of Zagreb. She has been developing her leadership skills in several business schools in Europe and US. Katarina has started off her professional career in 1998 as system engineer in Honeywell, she moved on to pharmaceutical company PLIVA in 2000. Following PLIVA’s expansion in Europe and Pliva’s acquisition by US company Barr Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Katarina held several Croatian and Global functions, e.g. Custom development Director and Global director in IT. In 2009 she moved to T-Mobile Croatia in a position of IT director. In 2011 she took a role of Executive Director of Information and Business Systems Sector in Croatian Telecom. She held a function of Vice President for Digital Transformation in Europe in Deutsche Telecom from 2013 to 2016.
