Darija Korkut, Senior Lecturer

Darija Korkut was born in 1971, in Zagreb. She graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, Department of English. Since academic year 2018/2019, she has been a doctoral student of Information Soceity at the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo Mesto, Slovenia. She was working at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs for 10 years, as an information and analysis officer, and as a diplomat at the Croatian Embassy in Dublin. In her 10-year experience at the Ministry of the Interior she was working on analytical education and training, and the development of innovative technological solutions. In January 2019, she joined University College Effectus, where she teaches Leadership Skills and Techniques, Knowledge and Innovation Management, Analytical Management and Critical Thinking at both, undergraduate and graduate studies. Darija has published seven books, and a number of professional and scientific papers on analytical methods and techniques, and their application, primarily in business surroundings, game theory, social network analysis and creativity. She is the editor of R. Kopal's book Economic Analysis of International Terrorism, also authoring the chapter titled "Application of Social Network Analysis (SNA) in Combating International Terrorism". She has participated in numerous domestic and international courses, seminars and conferences in the field of international relations and diplomacy, and various analytical courses and workshops (NATO, US EUCOM among other), and as a lecturer at many of those. She owns international certificates in the area of structured analytical techniques and critical thinking.
