Winton Afrić, Lecturer

Winton Afrić is an Academic Painter and Doctor of Science in the field of Information and Communication Sciences. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, studying painting in 2004. From Postgraduate Master's studies in painting in Professor Gnamuš's class in Ljubljana, he moved on to Postgraduate Doctoral studies at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb, where he received his PhD in 2010. He has been engaged in artistic work continuously since 2004, which he shows at exhibitions in Croatia and abroad. He directed his artistic activity towards the multidisciplinary field of making digital sculptures according to 3D printing, where he models Fantastic creatures of imagination and mythology, collectible sculptures, prototypes, models and toys. He exhibited his paintings and sculptures at 18 domestic and 4 international exhibitions. In 2011, he won the award for the best digital exhibition at the interdisciplinary international meeting in Baden-Baden, Germany, and 4 awards at domestic exhibitions. He is the leader of several Art Workshops. He published two University textbooks and numerous scientific and professional papers, which he presented at domestic and international scientific and professional conferences.
