Funds for this project were allocated in the amount of 3,836,901.74 kn, and the project was financed from the European Social Fund, OP Effective Human Resources 2014-2020.

Summary of the project:

According to the analysis of the five-year cycle of re-accreditation of higher education institutions in 2017, study programs (SP) in large numbers still have not sufficiently well-defined learning outcomes. These analyzes point to the need for further amendments to the SP and in the field of computing, based on the concept of learning outcomes, based on the HKO methodology. With the growth in IT services and software exports and the demand of domestic business digitization organizations, the number of IT professionals employed in all branches of the economy has risen to 52,000 (3.3% of total workforce). The overwhelming number of employers for IT professionals make up the ICT sector, which has opened more than 6,200 new jobs in the past ten years, employing a total of 33,000 people (Bisonde and HUP ICT).

In order to reach the EU average of 3.7% of IT professionals in the workforce and their better employment competitiveness in the EU countries, it is necessary to generate, through education,  and employ an additional 6,000 IT professionals.

The target groups of this project consist of 8 Higher Education Institutions that are conducting the SP in the field of computer science at the undergraduate and graduate level, resulting in qualifications of a bachelor’s degree computer engineer and expert specialist of computer engineering, and 4 higher education institutions with qualifying studies – a bachelor of information technology, also accredited in the scientific field 2.09. Technical sciences / Computer science.

Total project value: 3,836,901.74 kn.
