The research group deals with the design, development, implementation and monetization of solutions that include data science, the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence.

The group’s research expertise is in the field of data-efficient machine learning, modelling of structured and unstructured data, planning of infrastructure for working with large data sets, high-performance computing systems in conditions and autonomous decision-making systems. The topics of the group research are focused on understanding and formalizing aspects of data-based intelligent behaviour for use in complex systems.

Techniques, along with algorithms and software prototypes, are being developed for a variety of applications and represent an increasingly important element in building more robust and intelligent data-based technologies. The research topics of the group include data management, statistics, machine learning, application of machine learning to natural language processing, application of machine learning to unstructured data, thinking based on probability models and decomposition and application of artificial intelligence systems.

This is a comprehensive research group that combines technical and social sciences with prototyping, advanced data use, data modelling, perceptual research of data products, and experience design of these products.
