Course overview

This module introduces students to the basics of organizational behaviour and various leadership theories.
The objectives of this module is to enable students to:
• compare and apply basic organizational behaviour concepts,
• recommend the appropriate leadership style in a given business situation, and
• evaluate trends and challenges in leading design teams.
The module presents the dynamics and challenges of leading organizations and design teams in digital economy and the global environment.
It is important for students to take this module because understanding the elements and processes of leadership will enable them to find solutions for organizational challenges and function successfully in organizational context. Skills acquired through this module will make an excellent addition to the core skills developed through other modules and they will contribute significantly to students’ development as complete design and communication professionals.
