Ana-Marija Petric

Ana-Marija Petric, MA/MPhil, was born on December 8, 1986 in Zagreb, Croatia. She completed an MA in Czech and English languages at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. After that, she completed a 4-way Master of Philosophy in General Linguistics and Comparative Philology at the University of Oxford. During her studies she worked in the Brain and Language laboratory focusing on linguistic prediction. Following her MPhil, she moved to the Netherlands where she initially worked in data science, digitalization and automatisation of business processes. She later switched to consultancy focusing on Natural language processing, R, Python, financial modelling, Machine learning and AI. She returned to Croatia in 2019 and currently works in Poslovna inteligencija as Principal consultant for data science, AI and machine learning. She works internally on Named Entity Recognition projects, analysis of unstructured text, genetic parsing and predictive analytics.
