Zlatan Morić is currently a senior lecturer in the field of computing and is completing his doctoral studies. He has an extensive academic and professional career that dates back to 1995, when he left the military following the end of the Homeland War. Starting his career in the fields of marketing and graphic design, he gradually transitioned into more complex areas such as systems engineering, cyber security, and data science. Today, he holds the position of the head of the Department of Cyber Security, where he is also the program director of the cyber security studies. As a holder of numerous industrial certificates in the field of computing, he confirms his expertise and actively contributes to the latest trends and practices in the profession. As a member of the working group of the Croatian Employers' Association (HUP) for cyber security, he actively contributes to the development of strategies and policies in this key domain. His dedication to education is also evident through specialist courses in the field of cyber security that he conducts outside the university. Within the IPA project, he participated in developing the curriculum for the secondary school computer science program and was the team leader in developing 20 occupation standards in the field of electrical engineering and computing within the Croatian Qualifications Framework (CQF). He was also part of the team that developed 10 qualification standards in the same area. He has developed numerous courses in the field of cyber security and as the head of the department, he designed two sets of courses for graduate study in computing and led the development of a new undergraduate cyber security program. His engagement in the industry includes working on projects such as churn analysis and fraud detection, security enhancement projects, and scientific projects in cooperation with the Ruđer Bošković Institute. He is the author of dozens of scientific papers and is a regular participant at cyber security conferences as a speaker or panelist both nationally and internationally. In recent years, as part of the Erasmus+ program, he regularly engages in international collaboration with other European universities. His professional work is focused on projects and education in the areas of cyber security, data science, and artificial intelligence.
