Course objectives

To enable students to select and implement appropriate technologies and mechanisms in the network service providers to enable the connection of user location and use of various services from the portfolio of the service provider.

Content

The course deals with technology used in the networks of service providers, primarily MPLS and BGP with IGP to connect with customers. Topics: architecture and development of ISP environment, functioning and implementation of MPLS and other technologies for service providers, ways to connect with customers with other service providers, implementation of IPv6 and multicast traffic in the MPLS network, protection of MPLS network, signaling protocols, detection and elimination of problems in the MPLS network.
