Course overview

The objectives of this module are to equip students with knowledge, understanding and skills to design, implement, demonstrate, and document proof of concept of integrated scalable, secure, and highly available computer networks.

Students learn to:
• Define the purpose of specific phases in the life cycle of the technological solution
• Define basic characteristics of a computer network
• Design the optimal network solution
• Choose the adequate networking technologies
• Implement the integral technical solution in computer network
• Create functional technical documentation of implemented solution

This module is important for students because it teaches students how to map business requirements to specific networking technologies and how to implement and test chosen technologies to demonstrate that all the business requirements are met. This is one of the most important tasks of any network engineer.

  • Justify the choice of network technologies that will enable the implementation of all the characteristics of the technical solution provided by the design
  • Implement integral technical solution as a proof of concept
  • Create technical solution documentation
